Good day and welcome to Dundas Valley Secondary School

Good day and welcome to Dundas Valley Secondary School!  These are exciting times as the Dundas High School community comes together under one banner.

I am Mr. Gelder (or Monsieur Gelder) and will be teaching one of the grade nine academic French classes this semester.  I am pleased to have you and your daughter/son on board!  This blog is the one stop location for parents wanting information about homework assignments.

As with anything, information technology is changing.  I have shared some information with students about important links.  Here is the information again for the benefit of parents.

The board’s “home site”.  Gives you access to almost anything you need in the board’s on-line environment.
There are links to:

a)            e-mail (Office 360);
b)            HWDSB Commons (school                 announcements)
c)            Google Apps. (things like Google Drive,                 YouTube and others).
d)            The “Hub”.  This is where you access your                 courses on-line platform.  Many of the                 courses you take will be in a “blended                 learning” format, involving both in-class                 and on-line interaction.

Interactive platform for oral assignments, usually recorded and sometimes accompanied by visuals.
