Just a few things you need to know about goings on in classes.
We are pleased to welcome Mademoiselle Brind'Amour, who will be taking on the role of student teacher for a few weeks in the month of May.
The FSF1D1 classes have a couple of ongoing assignments. Chiefly, there is the dialogue for La machine à rajeunir which students have begun working on this week. The expectation is that the scripts be completed and presentations made Friday, May 9th.
Also, there is a small assignment to be handed in to the drop box dealing with direct object pronouns, entitled Un matin de Liam. This is to be handed in on or before Friday, May 9th as well (it isn't very long).
Finally, there was a modest Xpresslab assignment (oral communication platform) where students had a chance to apply the use of object pronouns through spoken production. It is a practice exercise is peer assessed in the computer lab.
As for the grade 11s (FSF3U1), we have just completed reading an abridged version of Les Misérables and have viewed a good portion of the 1931 original cinematic version. As a treat, students also got to see the 2012 musical version with Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, etc.
Grade 11s, too, are completing a dialogue assignment in groups involving the reunion of characters from Les Misérables on the Jerry Springer show. We hope this one is fun. Second, grade 11s are in the computer lab on Tuesday, May 6th working on a paragraph assignment (Javert - Héros ou villain?), with the reminder that this work is due Monday, May 12th. Finally, there is an Xpresslab assignment to complete covering the present participle. Again, we would like this work recorded in advance of Monday, May 12th.
