Hello parents and students. Well, as promised, your daughter/son received her/his Board-issued iPad today. I cannot speak for other classes, but I assure you that the iPads will be used in French class. As such, I ask for your cooperation with the following:
1. Please ensure that your son/daugther brings his/her iPad to class EVERY DAY! In fact, make sure they bring their textbooks, a binder and something to write with every day.
2. Please ensure that the iPad is charged EVERY NIGHT at home. Unfortunately, there are not enough power outlets in our school to enable students to be in a constant state of charging. And the fire department doesn't like us daisy-chaining either.
I believe these devices (and others, like Chromebooks and other tablets) provide students with a unique opportunity to engage in learning, both individually and collaboratively, in the digital age. Let's take full advantage!
