We are into the home stretch

Hello.  Even though we are still in the first half of semester two, with March Break and Easter Break over, we are into the home stretch as far as the overall school year goes.

A couple of things going on.  We have welcomed Ms. Michelle Glavic from the Faculty of Education, Brock University, who is doing a student teaching block in our French classes.  The grade nine academic class (morning) are just finishing up dialogue presentations on the "Qui est le coupable/Cris et frissons" unit.

The afternoon applied French class are working on a newspaper/current events assignment, designed to support their reading for comprehension skills, as well as an understanding of verb tenses.

The Genocide class are handing in a paper entitled "A Walk in Their Shoes", chronicling their families' or friends' personal or even first-hand experience with genocide and/or crimes against humanity.  The due date for this paper is, in fact, today (Tuesday, March 29th).
