A few assessments coming up

Hello parents!

Nice to have met some of you at the recent parent-teacher interview evening.

We have a couple of assessments coming up.  As you might be aware we assess French, like all languages, in the following ways:

i )  Reading;
ii)  Writing;
iii)  Oral communication which includes:
      a)  Listening;
      b)  Spoken production (dialogues, presentations, etc.)
      c)  Spoken interaction (dialogues, on the spot interviews).

This week, we have a listening assessment scheduled for Friday, October 24th.  I was also going to proceed with a reading assessment in class, but that may either be delayed or given as a take-home assessment.

Finally, students are hard at work on a "monster" paragraph, where they are to describe a day in the life of a fictitious monster that happened in the past.  It doesn't have to be a monster, though.  It could be Justin Bieber.  This written submission is to be shared via Google Drive no later than Tuesday, October 28th.

This written assessment is also being peer-edited so students will be sharing on-line with a classmate.
