Good morning and bonjour!
If you are here, it means you have found Mr. Gelder's "Homework Blog". Here you will find, as parents and students, what I hope you will agree is a useful tool in tracking your, or your son's/daughter's, progress as you/s/he navigate French at Highland Secondary School this year. Although most other communication with students will be in French, we'll keep this blog in English so as to ensure maximum communication effectiveness with those parents and guardians who may not understand French.
This is one of several links that you will be using this year. And, in addition to homework assignments and pending assessments (ie. tests, assignment, etc.) this is also the platform from which I hope to be communicating a good deal of information home. I hope to be posting no less than 3 times a week (please hold me to this. Don't hesitate to "call me out" if I slack.
I hope we are all geared up for an exciting and successful year at Highland, whether it is grade nine applied French (FSF1P1), grade ten academic French (FSF2D1) or the on-line grade 12 French (FSF4U1).
In the mean time, here are some useful links. Many of them require individual accounts for students, which are being created this week. Username and password information will be distributed in due course.
