Joyeuse action de grâce

Bonjour la classe et les familles!

Deux semaines courtes consécutives.  J'espère que vous en profitez bien.

Whoops.  Began writing in French there, which is usually the norm, but not from this blog.  Two consecutive short weeks, with the PD day on Friday, October 11th and Thanksgiving Monday, October 14th.  Enjoy.

But first, there are culminating activities due in both courses.  Students have been paired into groups of two and are working in the computer lab as well as in the classroom.  Most work is due next Tuesday, October 15th.  Much class time has been given, so the Rockton Fair will not be an acceptable excuse for work not ready for Tuesday.

Grade 9s:  Are working on an oral presentation assignment where they present their randomly-assigned partner to the class, using irregular adjectives, expressions of activity and reflexive verbs learned throughout the unit.

Grade 10s:  Are putting together individual resumes and covering letters for a fictitious job application.  They are also working with a partner on a script for and presentation of a fictitious job interview.  The written work is to be uploaded to the drop box on the D2L course website, while the dialogues will be presented in class beginning Tuesday.

Finally, all the time slots for the October 23rd Parent-Teacher interviews were filled in record time.  So, if you didn't get one and still want one, please contact me by e-mail ASAP.

Have a great long, long weekend!
