Hopefully, many of you are checking the homework blog regularly (which you are if you see it on this page!). There have been a couple of things added which will enhance communication:
First, if you look to the right hand side of the homework blog, you will see embedded feed entitled "Remind 101" for each of the classes (FSF1P1; grade 9 applied and FSF2D1; grade 10 academic). In addition to the body of this blog, I will be sending important homework and assessment announcements via this platform which both students AND parents can subscribe to via mobile phones. Here's how.
1. Compose a text message to 289-278-3128;
2. Include the following text in the body of the text message:
@fsf1p1-11 (for the grade nine class); or
@fsf2d11 (for the grade ten class)
And, you are subscribed! You will receive a text message of any announcements I send out using this platform. I am hoping this is an effective means of communication because, let's face, we all love our cell phones; particularly our students.
Secondly, just below the Remind 101 feed, you will see a Twitter feed called "DundasSecSchool". This is the new feed both Highland and Parkside will be using to post announcements. In addition to being read over the PA at both schools, and to being scrolled over LED screens in the foyers of the two schools, students and parents can easily subscribe to the Twitter feed.
